Our forty foot catamaran is designed for low latitude trade wind cruising.  If you want to know where Exit Only is located, you will probably find her between latitude twenty degrees north to twenty degrees south.  That zone is dominated by the northeast and southeast trade winds on both sides of the equator.  The trade winds blow most of the way around the world, and there is a good chance that we will be cruising somewhere in the trades. 

Our Land Rover Defender is fully customized for expeditionary travel in the far flung corners of Planet Earth.  We have spent many years camping in the remote deserts of Saudi Arabia.  Now we are focusing on traveling in the Outback of Australia.  A long side trip around New Zealand is also in the works.

We definitely are not on an American Express Tour where we will be one place on Monday, another place on Tuesday with a programmed itinerary until the tour is over.  When you live in the Outback and Beyond, you escape the digital lifestyle in which you think you are supposed to be at a particular place at a particular time.  Instead, we think of our life more in terms of staying in Australia for the next couple of months.  Then we will go to New Caledonia for about six months.  After that, maybe we will visit the great barrier reef for a couple of months or maybe go driving in the outback of Australia..

When you go Outback and Beyond, you go wherever you want for as long as you want.
